Notice to Authors & Contributors: Temporary Suspension of Manuscript Submissions

The Philippine Journal of Nursing (PJN) wishes to inform authors, researchers, and prospective contributors that the Journal is temporarily suspending the acceptance of new manuscript submissions as it completes its ongoing digitalization and strengthens its editorial and manuscript management processes.

The Journal is currently addressing a substantial number of manuscripts awaiting editorial assessment and processing. This temporary measure will allow the Editorial Office to attend to the existing manuscript backlog while completing the transition to a more streamlined and integrated digital publishing platform. We remain firmly committed to maintaining the quality, integrity, and rigor of our editorial and peer-review processes.

We respectfully ask for the patience and understanding of authors whose manuscripts are currently under consideration or awaiting editorial action. Authors with pressing publication timelines who may not be able to accommodate the anticipated delays may formally withdraw their manuscripts and pursue publication elsewhere. We kindly request that the Editorial Office be notified of any intended withdrawal before the manuscript is submitted to another journal.

The acceptance of new manuscripts will resume once the digitalization process has been completed and the Editorial Office is fully prepared to manage submissions efficiently and responsibly through the Journal's new publishing platform. A separate announcement will be issued once the submission system is officially reopened.

We recognize and appreciate the continued interest and confidence of the nursing research community in the Philippine Journal of Nursing. This temporary measure is part of our broader efforts to strengthen the Journal's publishing operations and provide a more efficient, transparent, and sustainable platform for scholarly communication.
