We are Moving to an Open Journal System-Based Publishing Platform for PJN

Policy Statement
PJN currently carries no advertisements or sponsored or promotional content. Should this change, any advertisement is clearly labeled as such, kept editorially and physically separate from research content, and does not appear within or disrupt research articles; advertisers have no access to content before publication and no influence on editorial decisions.
Advertising accepted by PJN aligns with PNA's mission of upholding the nursing profession's dignity and social responsibility. PJN does not accept advertisements for products or services that conflict with nursing ethics, such as tobacco, alcohol, or exploitative health claims. Special or supplementary issues, if sponsored, are held to the same editorial standards, peer review, and publication ethics as regular issues.
1. Scope and Applicability
This policy applies to any future advertising, sponsorship, or supplementary issue PJN may accept. It is not currently in active use, as PJN carries no advertisements today.
2. Definitions
Sponsored Content: Paid promotional material distinct from PJN's editorial and research content.
Supplement: A special issue, often externally funded, that is subject to the same editorial and ethical standards as a regular PJN issue.
