Roles & Responsibilities

Policy Statement

PJN's editorial process depends on clearly defined roles: the Editor-in-Chief, who holds final editorial authority; Associate and Section Editors, who manage manuscripts within their assigned areas; the Editorial Board, which supports governance and policy review; peer reviewers, who provide independent expert evaluation; the Editorial Office, which coordinates operations and communications; and authors, who are responsible for the integrity of their submitted work.

Each role carries corresponding obligations, detailed throughout this manual. In general, editors and reviewers are expected to act with fairness, confidentiality, and freedom from conflicts of interest, while authors are expected to submit original, accurately reported work and to respond in good faith throughout the editorial process.
