Become a Peer Reviewer for the Philippine Journal of Nursing (PJN)

What is peer review?

Peer review is central to the Philippine Journal of Nursing’s (PJN) commitment to publishing high-quality, relevant, and ethically sound nursing scholarship. Through independent, fair, and constructive evaluations by qualified experts, peer reviewers assist the editors in determining whether a manuscript should be accepted, revised, or rejected. This process helps ensure the scientific rigor, methodological quality, ethical integrity, and relevance of published research to nursing practice, education, leadership, and health policy.

Who are PJN peer reviewers?

PJN peer reviewers are professionals with appropriate expertise in nursing and related disciplines who evaluate submitted manuscripts and provide objective, evidence-based recommendations to support editorial decision-making. Reviewers are expected to maintain strict confidentiality, declare any actual or potential conflicts of interest, provide timely and constructive feedback, and uphold the highest standards of research and publication ethics. Manuscripts and information obtained through peer review must not be used for personal or professional advantage.
